ABSTRACT
Indonesia has many cases of mental disorders, but only a few people choose to consult to a psychologist. By looking at the many art gallery in Bandung, researchers want to see the potential of art gallery in dealing with mental disorders and see their potential as educational tourism that play a role in increasing the knowledge repertoire of visitors. The method used in this study uses a quantitative approach, with data collection through questionnaires and observation. It was found that some visitors to art gallery have symptoms of mental disorders and use art gallery as a means to express themselves, as well as a means of therapy in dealing with symptoms of mental disorders without having to visit a psychologist. Art gallery are proven to be able to provide serenity to visitors and become a means to channel the emotions of visitors when visiting art galleries. The ability to express oneself can make individuals calmer so that they can reduce symptoms of depression. The role of art gallery as educational tourism is proven to provide knowledge about art to visitors, besides that art gallery also provide opportunities for visitors to express and create their works of art.
