Indexing determines how easily your paper can be found by other researchers. As of 2025/2026, the Journal of Tourism and Creativity is indexed and abstracted in the following databases:
SINTA (Rank 5): Accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of Indonesia.
Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital): The comprehensive Indonesian digital reference archive.
Google Scholar: Ensures broad visibility in global search results.
Dimensions & Crossref: Provides each article with a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for permanent linking and citation tracking.
Other Indexes: It is also listed in ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources), BASE (Bielefeld Academic Search Engine), and Index Copernicus.
To maintain high academic standards, JTC employs a strict "Screening for Plagiarism" process.
Software Used: The journal primarily uses Turnitin to generate a similarity report for every new submission.
Similarity Threshold: Typically, journals under UNEJ management require a similarity index of less than 20% or 25%.
Note: Even if the total percentage is low, a high match from a single source may still be flagged by the editors.
Timing: The check is performed at the Pre-Review stage. If the Turnitin report shows significant plagiarism or "text recycling" (self-plagiarism), the manuscript will be rejected immediately before it even reaches the reviewers.
Author Responsibility: Authors are strongly encouraged to run their own Turnitin check before submitting to ensure that all citations and paraphrasing are handled correctly.
If you are preparing a submission, here is the professional way to state your compliance with these services in English:
"The manuscript has been screened using Turnitin to ensure an original contribution with a similarity index below the journal's threshold. Furthermore, the publication's inclusion in SINTA and Garuda ensures that the research will be appropriately indexed and accessible to the international academic community."
